From 1994-2000, Bill was president and creative
director of Heater Advertising in Boston. The agency’s
clients were Reebok Int’l., Anheuser Busch and Scudder
Investments. He was also partner in The Heat, a minority-owned
youth/urban-oriented agency also based in Boston
Mr. Heater was the original writer and creative
director for John Hancock Financial Services' "Real life,
real answers" campaign, an advertising campaign for which
he received the Grand Prix at The Cannes Film Festival in
1987.
Mr. Heater also wrote and directed the advertising
which introduced the Infiniti Q45 to the United States. His
spare, minimalist ads for the luxury car division of Nissan
are considered, even today, some of the most memorable in
advertising.
In addition to this work, Mr. Heater has been
a creative consultant on such brands as: Nike, Microsoft,
Coca Cola, Mercedes Benz, Ford Motor Company, Miller Brewing
Company and many other blue chip advertising clients.
Mr. Heater has worked four presidential campaigns.
(Michael Dukakis, Edmund Jerry Brown, H. Ross Perot and Al
Gore.) He has also worked outside of advertising as an independent
screenwriter and as a creative consultant to Bain Consulting
and Fast Company Magazine.
He has served on the board of directors for
VinFen Corporation, Massachusetts’ largest private mental
health services organization and is past president of the
Milton Academy Lower School Parent’s Association.
Mr. Heater is 47 years old and a resident
of Milton, Massachusetts. He and his wife have five children.
