Privacy Policy

Robert Taraschi's Milestone® considers privacy of the utmost importance. For that reason, Milestoneideas.com has created this privacy policy to help inform its users of how the site collects and treats any user information exchanged.

I. Personal Information

Milestoneideas.com does not collect any personal information without consent from its users. If information such as name, address, phone numbers, or any other personally identifiable data is collected, it is done only as a result of explicit user action, like submission on a contact form or during registration. This information is stored in a secure private database, and is never used for any purpose other than what was detailed during that submission. Milestone® will never give out user information to anybody else, nor will Milestone® use user information for internal marketing purposes without explicit user consent. In addition, Milestone® takes no responsibility for the content of any messages posted on the message boards throughout the site, nor does Milestone® ensure the confidentiality of messages posted in non-secure (open) areas.

II. Information Automatically Collected

There is some information which, while not personally identifiable, may still be of concern. Milestoneideas.com's servers collect and log information such as the user's Internet Protocol (IP) address, browser type (Internet Explorer, Netscape Navigator, etc.), the time the site was accessed, and what particular pages on the site were accessed during that time period. This information is rarely examined by anything other than automated applications that try to ensure server availability and usability. At no point will Milestone® use this information for marketing purposes, nor will Milestone® release this information to anybody else unless order to by law.

III. Information Automatically Saved on User's Computers

Milestoneideas.com saves certain information on user's computers when they visit the site to allow us to customize the user experience. This information is saved in a small file called a "cookie" on the users hard drive, and is not dangerous. Cookies are a feature of many browsers, including Internet Explorer and Netscape Navigator, and can be turned off if this is of concern. Some areas of Milestoneideas.com will not work properly if this feature is turned off, however, and Milestone® recommends it be left on. The information stored in cookies is secure, and cannot be accessed by any other site. Some information stored in these cookies can be confidential, such as a username and password for various areas of Milestoneideas.com, and if the user's computer is not secure, this feature should not be utilized.

IV. Minors

Individuals under the age of 13 years old should ask their parents permission before viewing Milestoneideas.com. Milestone® does not guarantee that all areas of Milestoneideas.com are suitable for minors. At no point does Milestoneideas.com authorize or request the submission of personal information from a minor.

The aforementioned policies are effective as of February 27th, 2002. Robert Taraschi's Milestone® reserves the right to change this policy without notice at any time.
